JCK's Family of Brands
As the very first restaurant in the JCK franchise, Carl’s Jr. will always hold a special place in our hearts. We opened our first Carl’s Jr. location on March 14th, 1990, in the Springfield, OR, Gateway Mall Food Court.
Joe Karcher grew up in the Carl’s Jr. family and started working for the business early on – his first position was as a busboy back in 1972. After working his way through high school, he became a cook for Carl’s Jr. and was eventually promoted to assistant manager while attending college. In 1980, Joe entered the manager training program so that he could continue to excel at Carl’s Jr, and he earned his first manager position in 1981.
Over thirty years later, Carl’s Jr. is still all about making people’s days a little bit brighter with great food and friendly service. With the long-standing motto of “Make Our Guests Happy,” Carl’s Jr. is service and team-member oriented with values that go way back to our restaurants’ foundations over 140 years ago.
