Our local restaurants raised over $152,000 in annual Stars for Heroes campaign

Our local Carl’s Jr. franchises, owned and operated by JCK and KB Restaurants, raised $152,405 during this year’s annual Stars for Heroes campaign. The Stars for Heroes campaign, which is put on by Carl’s Jr.’s parent company, CKE Restaurants Holdings, runs from Memorial Day through the 4th of July each year and is meant to benefit active military and veterans in need. In 2022, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s locations earned about $1.1 million. The campaign in its 11 years has raised over $11 million.

Out of over 1,000 restaurants in the Carl’s Jr. system, 8 of the 10 restaurants that raised the most money during the Stars for Hero campaign were owned by us, with one of our Carl’s Jr. franchises in Portland, OR earning more than $7,000 on its own. JCK’s Carl’s Jr. franchises have participated in this campaign in previous years and were excited to do so again.

During the campaign, restaurant guests at participating locations are asked if they want to donate $1 or more to support military veterans and their families. Half of the money raised by our restaurants goes to two national partners, USA Cares and the Stand Up and Play Foundation, while the other half is given to local charities, St. Vincent de Paul’s Veterans Housing Project as well as Clark County Veterans Assistance Center.
