The Human Bean Sponsors Field of Dreams auction for Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley

The Human Bean served as a proud Platinum Sponsor of the Field of Dreams dinner and auction that took place on Aug. 25 for the Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley. This event, which happened on the field of PK Park in Eugene, Oregon, featured both a

silent and live auction as well as an after-party with Danny Jolles. Attendance and generous donations from those in the community will help the BGCEV to expand so more kids can have a safe, fun, and life-changing place to go to after school is out. We are grateful to have had the chance to participate in this event.

BGCEV is an after-school program open to all kids in the Eugene or Bethel school districts between the ages of 6-18 or first grade through twelfth grade with the mission to “inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” In 2018, more than 26,000 youths visited the club and received directional and educational support that was vital to their success. Membership in the club costs $40 per child annually and includes programs that focus on the arts, career development and education, and sports and recreation.

Programs like this are especially important to families with low income so they can access the same resources as many other families. This is why The Human Bean is committed and proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the Field of Dreams.

You can visit the Boys and Girls Club of Emerald Valley to donate to their cause or volunteer to help kids for a few hours after school each day.
